​After the terrorist attacks on the newspaper Charlie Hebdo, in January 2015, the documentary filmmaker Raymond Depardon (1974, Une Partie de Campagne and Profils Paysans) decided to give a voice to the French. For three months, he traveled the country in his old RV and in every city went, he invited locals to come in and talk. An old man complains of loneliness, another of the excessive happiness of his family. A young man finds it difficult to envision the future, while two friends complain of men's inconstancies. An intimate portrait of contemporary France through the eyes of its inhabitants.​
