Jean Monier is a disillusioned lawyer, appointed to defend Nicolas Milik, a man accused of murdering his wife. While everything points to his guilt, Monier takes up the case, convinced of his innocence. As his investigations advance he also gets closer to his client. What originally appears to be an ordinary case will put this experienced lawyer to the test. Official Selection Cannes 2024.
Daniel Auteuil
One of the most respected French actors, his filmography includes an ample variety of cinematographic genres, from contemporary and historical dramas to romantic comedies and crime thrillers. He was awarded Best Actor at Cannes for O Oitavo Dia (1996) and debuted as director in 2011, with A Filha do Pai. Also directed Fanny (2013), Marius (2013) and A Outra Mulher (2018).
