Amos Gitaï
Filmmaker born in the city of Haifa, Israel, in 1950, Amos Gitai studied Architecture at the University of California and started in cinema in the 1970s. Awarded at the Venice Film Festival with Berlin-Jerusalem (1989), he rose to worldwide fame directing Kadosh (1999), Kedma (2002), Free Zone (2005), and Rabin, the Last Day (2015). He is regarded as one of the greatest Israeli filmmakers of his generation.
