Gabriel, a young and introverted soldier, witnessed terrible massacres in the trenches of war between 1914 and 1918. Immersed in his thoughts about the First World War, amid feelings of disillusionment, fear and hatred, he follows his path and manages to go on through the letters he sends to his lover. After a terrible inner journey - full of sound, fury, and blood - he will learn about his own humanity. A hyper-realistic and frightening portrait of a real slaughter and terrifying hallucinations. Adaptation of the novel by Gabriel Chevallier. Toronto Film Festival 2015.
