Kosuke and Miyuki the acting couple, are preparing to star in a new adaptation for the stage of the classic nineteenth century Japanese ghost story, Yotsuya Kaidan – a sordid tale full of betrayal, desire and revenge. As rehearsals intensify, it becomes clear to the couple and the rest of the cast that the events depicted in the play are interfering in their personal lives. Obsessions and fantasies are awaken, provoking intense conflicts that will lead to an inevitable, surprising and bloody outcome. Selected for the Toronto Film Festival in 2014 .
