A portrait of the mysteries of puberty and the enchantment of first love. A group of about 20 Berlin teenagers is taking an mandatory school-sponsored tour: a bus trip to Poland’s Baltic coast. Cigarettes and alcohol abound, as well as pranks in general. The story centers on popular Isa and lonely Ronny who, very slowly, gets closer to the girl. Unlike Hollywood’s take on adolescence, Ronny, Isa and their colleagues are at the same time strangely amusing and painfully honest characters. Berlin Film Festival 2002.
