In the early 1940s, Allen, a young college student, falls in love with classmate Lucien. When David Kammerer, a man in his thirties who is also in love with Lucien, is found dead, Allen, Lucien and friends Jack and William become the main suspects. This might have been just another routine detective plot, were it not for the fact that it stars Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs, founders of the Beatnik movement. The energy of an entire generation in a portrait of artists developing ideas and goading each other on. Sundance 2013.
