Zhuang, a laid back high school senior whose life becomes intertwined with his classmate, athlete Meng, after he takes the blame for her theft of a starting pistol. Their contrasting personalities set the course for a tender journey navigating young romance and the complexities of growing up. Set in a distant cultural context, the film intimately explores what it means to be growing up in the rigid Chinese preparation process for university. Special Mention in the Generation 14plus section Berlin 2024.
