Youn So-young is one of the many Korean women who, in order to avoid begging for money, spends the afternoon at Jongmyo Park selling Bacchus, a very successful South Korean energy drink. Despite her advanced age, Youn, like many of the other “Bacchus ladies”, not only sells the drink but also offers sexual services. When little Min-ho’s mother is arrested, So-young decides to take care of him. The boy, who speaks only Filipino, will discover a new world with his "new mother" and her best friends: a transgender neighbour and a one-legged young man. Berlin Film Festival 2016.
