After diving into the universe of tango, flamenco, fado, and zonda, Carlos Saura (Cria Cuervos and Carmen), one of the most prolific and prestigious Spanish filmmakers, revisits the world of musical documentary. This time he points his camera to La Jota, a popular genre from his home province of Aragon. This new journey starts at the most rooted and traditional singing and dancing styles of his land and takes us through a visual exploration of landscapes and lights. A documentary full of life, history, and a quite unique work to all who love music. Toronto Film Festival 2016.
