Trailer
Author of novels such as Our Lady of Flowers and Querelle de Brest, Jean Genet (1911–1986) was a cursed author and activist. A declared homosexual at a time when sexual orientations were hidden, Genet began writing his novels, poetry and plays in prison at the age of 32 and became one of the most productive and controversial French writers of the 20th century. Bringing together records, archival research and his own material, Argentine director Miguel Zeballos draws a parallel between the legacy of Genet's art and activism with today’s struggles.
