The encounter between the extravagant Iris Apfel, one of the most iconic and enduring characters of world fashion, and documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles (Grey Gardens and Gimme Shelter). At 93, the irreverent Iris revisits her diverse career, from her beginnings as a decorator of the White House up until the exhibition of her collection of accessories at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Today, along with her husband Carl, who turned 100 during filming, she continues to live and work the way she likes best: with glamour and hard work.

Participou da seleção do Sundance quatro vezes, com os filmes Ozawa (1985), Islands (1987), Christo in Paris (1990), LaLee's Kin: The Legacy of Cotton (2001) e The Secret of Trees (2013). Faleceu este ano, em Nova York, aos 88 anos.
