In his latest film, Bernardo Bertolucci (The Dreamers, The Last Tango in Paris) tells the story of Lorenzo, a reclusive 14 year old. When his school organizes a trip to a ski resort, the boy seizes the opportunity to fool his parents and pursue a dream of his: to spend a few days in complete isolation, in the abandoned attic of the building they live in. For a whole week, Lorenzo will finally be able to listen to music, read and evade the conflicts and pressures of his day to day life. But the unexpected arrival of his half-sister Olivia will change everything. Cannes 2012.

Bernardo Bertolucci

Born in Parma, Italy, in 1941. He was an assistant director to filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini. Among his films, highlights include The Last Tango in Paris (1972) and The Last Emperor (1987), winner of nine Oscars. In the 1990s, he went back to filming in Italy, starting with Stealing Beauty (1996), featured at Cannes. In 2003, he presented The Dreamers at Venice. He won an Honorary Palme d'Or and a Golden Lion for his cinematic achievements.
