“Favela funk” is explicitly pornographic, both in its lyrics and choreography. Also, the scene is dominated by men. The lyrics constantly show a male sexist perspective on sex, reducing women to objects of desire. But how do women feel about that? A documentary about love and relationships in the world of extremely popular funk through the eyes of the youth. An analysis on the relationship of the lyrics and their daily personal (love) lives. Rotterdam Film Festival 2016.
