April 2020 — Lockdown. Paul, a film director, and his brother Etienne, a music journalist, are confined together in their family's house in the French countryside, together with their new partners Morgane and Carole. Every room, every object, even the trees in the garden, remind them of their childhood, and their ghosts. An autobiographical comedy. Competition Berlinale 2024.
Olivier Assayas
Born in France in 1955. After studying art and literature, he made short films, wrote screenplays and contributed to French film magazine Cahiers du Cinéma. Directed more than 30 productions — among which, Irma Vep (1996), Summer Hours (2008), Something in the Air (2012) and Personal Shopper (2016) — winning awards at the festivals of Venice and Cannes.
