A journalist investigates the underworld of the Iranian holy city Mashad in search of a serial killer of prostitutes. Known as the Spider Killer, the assassin believes he is on a spiritual mission to cleanse the streets from sin. Based on true events, the film competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Zar Amir Ebrahimi won the festival's Best Actress award.
