Trailer

David Hockney works in his studio seven days a week, painting and creating with new technology in ways that one would not expect from someone who belongs, as he himself puts it, to the last generation that grew up without TV. The charismatic painter gave unrestricted access to his personal library of photographs and films, which allowed for the construction of a unique visual diary of his life. Going through his studies, his first pieces of British Pop art in the 1960s, his experience of being a gay man in California at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, right up until the present day.
