Eugenio spends the summer as a caretaker at his aunt and uncle’s country house – that used to belong to him. He is looking for inspiration for a screenplay. Martin, on the other hand, is unemployed, and volunteers to take care of the house and do minor repairs. They were close friends in childhood, but haven’t seen each other in 10 years. They reestablish a bond, but based on omission: Martín does not reveal that he is homeless and Eugenio tries to hide his interest in his friend. Marco Berger
Born in Buenos Aires, in 1977. He studied film at Universidade del Cine. His short The Clock (2008) competed at Cannes and Sundance. His feature-length directorial debut, Plan B (2009), was shown in several prestigious festivals, and his second feature, Absent (2011), won him a Teddy Award at the Berlin Film Festival. Hawaii reaffirms his interest in the world of male obsession.
