At Gare du Nord, France’s busiest train station, anything can happen. Just like the paths that cross there, Ismaël, Mathilde, Sacha and Joan will meet. Everyday Ismaël is fascinated and exhausted by the place’s grandeur. He sees Mathilde for the first time on a suburban train platform; they fall in love. They meet Sacha, who is looking for his missing daughter, and Joan, who spends her days in the station between Lille, London and Paris. Gare du Nord is a world apart, frequented by all sorts – French citizens, immigrants and ghosts. Locarno Film Festival 2013.
