Who was Emily Dickinson? Who was this poet who spent most of her life isolated in her parents’ estate in Massachusetts? This unconventional biography is an intimate portrait of this unique American literature character. Considered a child prodigy, after suffering a strong emotional trauma at a young age, Dickinson is forced to abandon her studies and grows into an introverted woman. The sensitive eye of director Terence Davies (The House of Mirth, The Deep Blue Sea) takes us through her personal journey as she communicated with the outside world through letters. Berlin, 2016.
