Thousands of Brazilians transformed their lives and contributed to the fight against the covid-19 pandemic thanks to a solidarity network for making and donating masks. Eight of these women seamstresses — quilombolas, indigenous, riverside, peripheral — reveal how they came together to survive, ensure income generation and food security for their families, filling gaps left by the State.
