Finn lost his mother at birth. His father insists that he play football but he suffers as he isn’t a good athlete. One day, on his way back from school he passes by an abandoned nearby farm and encounters a mysterious musical character. Finn falls in love with music and becomes passionate about learning to play the violin. Hidden from his father who thinks he’s going to football practice, he learns from the old man. Then he is chosen to play at a school party, and can’t understand his father’s desperation when he discovers his son’s new hobby. Generation screening Berlin Festival 2014.
Frans Weisz
Nasceu em 1938 em Amsterdã. Estudou cinema na Amsterdam Film Academy e no Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia de Roma. Participou por duas vezes da competição oficial do Festival de Berlim, com Het gangstermeisje (1966) e Op afbetalin (1992). Entre seus trabalhos, destacam-se Havinck (1987), Polonaise (1989) e a minissérie de televisão Bij nader inzien (1991). Entre seus trabalhos mais recentes estão Boy Ecury (2003) e Happy End (2009).
