Between the 1950s and 1970, the fotonovela was a significant market with millions of readers in Brazil. Through interviews with actors, producers and theorists, this short film investigates the world of these stories.
Tetê Mattos
Born in Niterói, she is a director, curator and art professor at UFF, with a PhD from UERJ. She directed the documentaries Era Arariboia um astronauta? (1998) and A maldita (2007), which won the audience award at the Rio Film Festival.
