Luigi Celeste is 20 and lives with his mother Licia and his brother Alessandro. The three are very close. It has been almost ten years since any of them has last seen Franco, their partner and father, who ruined the two boys’ childhood and Licia’s youth with memories of fear and abuse. Luigi decides to join an extreme right-wing group where rage and oppression are still rampant. One day Franco returns, claiming his family back, but he is still the man who poisons everything he touches. Best Actor award for Francesco Gheghi Orizzonti Venice 2024.
Francesco Costabile
Born in Italy, studied in Bologna and Rome, where they made the shorts L'armadio (2004) and Dentro Roma (2006). They then turned to two documentaries on costume designer Piero Tosi L'abito e il volto, (2009), and Piero Tosi 1690, (2014). Co-directed La Carrera (2013) and In un Futuro Aprile (2020). Took part in the Berlinale with Una Femmina (2022).
