​Greg, an awkward teenager, just wants to get through his last year of school unnoticed. Avoiding all social interaction, he spends his days with Earl, his only friend, doing wacky remakes of classic films like A Sockwork Orange, Pooping Tom and Senior Citizen Kane. Greg’s mum, full of good intentions, forces him to get to know Rachel, a classmate with leukaemia. Soon both are suprised to discover that they have a lot in common. But when Rachel’s health deteriorates, Greg’s world changes forever. Best film and audience award at Sundance 2015.​

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon

​Born in Texas. He began his career in show business as a personal assistant to stars such as Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro. He went to NYU and did a master’s at AFI. He directed ads and TV programs such as Glee, and was nominated for an Emmy for the mini-series American Horror Story: Coven (2013). His first feature was the horror film The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014), shown at the Fantastic Fest and Toronto After Dark Film Festival.​
