Jerzy Skolimowski
Born in Poland in 1938, Jerzy Skolimowski made his first feature films with the support and influence of Andrzej Wajda. He stands out in the film scene from The Departure (1967), which earned him the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. Also an actor and playwright, Skolimowski has built a solid career as one of the greatest Polish filmmakers, also awarded at Cannes and Venice.
