Through a personal investigation conducted by her niece Mariana, this film rescues from obscurity the life of guerilla fighter Iara Iavelberg. A cultured, beautiful woman who left behind a comfortable family life, opting instead to engage in the armed combat against the dictatorship. Living a routine of kidnappings and armed action, she was involved with former captain Carlos Lamarca. That made her one of the most prized targets to the repression forces. The film demolishes the regime’s official version that attributes her 1971 death to suicide.
