Elton Medeiros – The Sun Will Rise is an unprecedented record by Elton Medeiros, one of the most representative composers of Brazilian samba. He was the main partner of Paulinho da Viola, with anthological compositions with Cartola, Zé Keti, and Hermínio Bello de Carvalho, among others. Elton Medeiros was a black protagonist and witness of great moments in the country's music scene. Throughout the film, he pays homage to women who made the history of MPB, in testimonials to Vidal Assis, his last partner.
