Fiction and documentary, acting and verité footage mingle in The Parrot and the Swan, a romantic fantasy developed in the ambiance of several dance companies in Buenos Aires. A group of documentarists, at the request of a North-American production company, films ballet groups. Along the way, El Loro, the sound editor, goes through a traumatic breakup with his girlfriend. During shooting, the team encounter an independent dance troupe. One of the dancers, Luciana, crosses paths with Loro, who decides to quit his job and join the troupe. BAFICI 2013.
Alejo Moguillansky
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1978. He is a filmmaker, editor and teacher at Universidad del Cine. His first fiction film, La prisionera (2006), premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Castro (2009) won best film and best cinematography at BAFICI and was featured at Locarno. He has edited over 15 films. He is currently preparing his next feature, La guerra submarina.
