Martín, a shoeshine boy who works in the streets of La Paz, Bolivia, decides to steal the dog of his best client, a lonely tailor he has begun to imagine as his biological father.

Chilean screenwriter, director and producer.. his first feature, El Fumigador (2016), co-directed with Francisco Hevia, was awarded Best National Film at Santiago Festival. The Dog Thief is his first solo feature developed at the Residence of Cinefondation de Cannes and in the programme of the Biennale College Cinema of Venice.
