1986. Journalist José de Zer and Chango, his cameraman, set out for La Candelaria, a small community in Córdoba, on receiving an unusual proposal from two shady characters. Arriving in the village, there’s nothing much to see, only a scorched field surrounded by hills. What happened next was the most remembered invention of an alien presence in the history of Argentinian television.
Diego Lerman
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With his debut feature, Suddenly (2002), he landed the Silver Leopard at the Locarno Festival. This was followed by Mientras tanto (2006), screened in the Giornate degli Autori in Venice. The Invisible Eye (2010) and Refugiado (2014) premiered in the Quinzaine des Realisateurs at Cannes. He has also directed the TV series La casa (2015).
