Of the 20 most violent cities in the world, six are located in Mexico. They are not very far from the richest, most secure township in Latin America: San Pedro Garza García. Mauricio Fernández is the town’s controversial mayor, a millionaire (his fortune has been esteemed to be worth 800 million dollars) who introduces himself as a man capable of keeping his township clean of cartels and drug trafficking without resorting to foreign models of administration. A portrait of the development of a country marked by violence and the indifference of its ruling class.
