One computer program that changed everything. Alex Winter tells us the story of a software developed in a university dorm room which rocked the foundations of the record industry, while also creating a whole new approach to music. Driven by the will to share the music files he had on his computer, Shawn Fanning, one of the greatest hackers of his times, began a new era in knowledge interchange. His actions drove the aged industry mad, straight into a series of legal action, at the same time as he paved the way for several new business models. SXSW 2013.
