Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with running the secret process of selecting a new pontifice after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy and discovers a secret that could shake the very foundation of The Church.
Edward Berger
Born in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1970. Won, with All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) the Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film, Best Cinematography, Best Soundtrack and Best Production Design. He had made his feature debut with Gomez - Heads or Tails (1998), followed by others including Female2 Seeks HappyEnd (2001), Jack (2014), with which he competed in Berlin, and All My Loving (2019). He also directed the series Patrick Melrose (2018) and Your Honor (2020).
