Sara is an overweight teenager who lives in the shadow of a girl gang. Even her childhood friend can't stand up for her when she is heavily bullied at the local pool and has her clothes stolen. A mysterious psychopath, however, appears to help her, disappearing with the young woman's enemies. Based on the award-winning short film of the same name directed by Pereda.
Carlota Pereda
Born in 1975, the Spanish filmmaker started her career as a screenwriter, director, and supervisor of TV productions. Her first short film, Las Rubias (2016), was selected for more than 140 national and international festivals. Her second work, Cerdita (2018), had similar success and won the Goya before being adapted into her debut feature film.
