The true and turbulent story of Genesis Potini, world champion of high-speed chess, who became a legend in his home country of New Zealand. Born into a Maori tribe, the Black Horse, as he became better known, fought for the future of underprivileged children until his death in 2011. Despite his bipolar disorder, he taught the children to play chess and to fight for opportunities. A triumphant tribute to what we are able to achieve, regardless of our personal barriers. Toronto Film Festival 2014 and audience award at the Rotterdam Film Festival 2015.
