Raúl is an unemployed farmhand and father who lives in an isolated house in the solitary immensity of the interior. Traditional rural labour is no longer of use to the bosses, the landowners. The landscape of massive pastures with cattle is being replaced by gigantic soya plantations. Overcome by poverty and joblessness he joins other farmhands to steal cattle under cover of darkness.Returning from another dawn, he finds his house empty. His wife and children have disappeared.
