Maths teacher Clara, mother of a teenager, divorced and party-loving, likes to be in complete control of her life. But when she is diagnosed with breast cancer the control she thought she had is shaken. She rethinks her beliefs, her vanities and her affections, together with her daughter, her mother and old and new friends, discovering an interior strength to overcome the illness.
