In the 1960s, Joy is a traditional housewife desperate for another child. When she finally gets pregnant, however, Joy also discovers that her dream could cost her life. Phyllis Nagy
Filmmaker, director, and screenwriter born in New York in 1962. She was nominated for an Oscar for her screenplay for Carol (2015), an adaptation of the novel "The Price of Salt", by Patricia Highsmith. She made her directorial debut with the telefilm Mrs. Harris (2005).
