Livia is a 15 year old teenager. After falling off her horse, she is aided by fireman Jean, with whom she falls in love. A little while later, it is already June the 24th: the first day of vacation. The girl, alone and upset, will stop at nothing to win over this older man, for whom she has an increasingly fiery passion. Her love will devour her and make him go to exalted, irreversible lengths. Selected for the Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes Film Festival 2006.
Claire Simon
Born in London in 1955. She began her film career as an editor and director of short films, such as La police (1988). She also directed documentaries like Les patients (1989) and Mimi (2003). Her first feature was A Foreign Body (1997). Among her films, highlights are Ça brule (2006) and God's Offices (2006), selected for the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes. Festival do Rio presents this year a retrospective of his work.
