Democracy is at a very early stage in Myanmar (formerly Burma), which only emerged from a 50-year long military dictatorship in 2011. This documentary shows the country in the light of poetry, an art form highly appreciated by its natives, focusing on the figure of the famous poet and activist Maung Aung Pwint, who spent much of his adult life in prison. Now in old age and suffering from Parkinson's disease, he dreams of reuniting with his son, who emigrated to Finland 20 years ago.
