The people of a small community in Veracruz, Mexico, are the guardians of one of the most threatened that in the country: the cloud forest. They are trying to redesign their own culture: needs, food, education and relationship with other people and with nature, searching for a simpler and sustainable life. A portrait of those who are in a constant struggle to generate paradigm shifts. Shown at the South by Southwest Festival 2017
Mónica Álvarez Franco
She studied AV in Mexico and documentary in Spain. She wrote and directed several short documentaries, including Venus y Arturo (2011), which was featured in the Guanajuato Fim Festival. This is her first feature film as a director.
