Natalia really wanted to have a baby. Now that she has one, however, the 17-year old sees her life become a constant struggle. Feeling rejected by her mother, she clings desperately to her baby, despite not having yet formed a proper affectionate bond. Kuba, a skater friend, tries to act like a father the best way he can, but ends up using their apartment to throw parties for their drug-addled friends. Spending what little money she has left on extravagant clothes, she tries to net a job at a boutique, mas ends up being manipulated by the manager. Berlin Film Festival 2013.
Katarzyna Rosłaniec
Born in Poland, in 1980. She graduated at the Warsaw Film School and got her Master’s in filmmaking at the Andrzej Wajda School. Her graduation film, Galerianki (2008), premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was featured in festivals all over the world prior to its official commercial release in Poland, where it was a box-office hit. Baby Blues is her second feature-film.
