​Beatriz and Marcelo are a young Brazilian couple in love, who have just moved to Lisbon, where Marcelo begins work on his second novel. It is about jealousy. He uses his and his wife’s lives as inspiration. Fascinated by the story, Beatriz begins to contribute to the female character. As the book takes shape, the seductive games become more intriguing and dangerous, confronting the couple in their relationship and in life, as Beatriz and Marcelo become characters in and prisoners to the book.​
