Five women victims of domestic violence share their stories and battles for survival. From various parts of the world, they are quite different from each other. This documentary gathers a women's panel by thoroughly investigating as issues that transcends geographical boundaries and social differences or academic background. Shot over an eight-year period, the film reveals the physical and emotional impacts, sequels and traumas caused by the violation of what should have been the safest and most loving place of all: our own home.

Nasceu no México. Estudou cinema no Centro Universitário de Estudos Cinematográficos e especializou-se em documentário na Escola de San Antonio de los Baños, em Cuba. Em 2007, dirigiu Mi vida dentro, longa vencedor do prêmio de melhor documentário no Festival de Morelia 2007 e exibido em festivais como o de Tribeca e na Semana da Crítica de Cannes 2008.
