A luxury ship departs from Buenos Aires bound for Rio de Janeiro. On board is Cléo, the dancer courted by Alberto, the ship's mate, and Prince Suave Leão. Frederico is a stowaway traveling without a passport who is taken aback by Azulão, the ship's cook who takes advantage of this situation. In the middle of the trip, there's a message warning about the presence of a dangerous spy among the passengers who needs to be detained. They all come together to capture him, beginning a series of chases interspersed with musical numbers and mismatched love affairs.
