In winter Piratininga Beach, in Niterói, is deserted. 13-year-old Rebeca, who has just moved there, has been gated. She can only watch the road over the top of the wall. One day she watches Mika, a trans girl, swim in the open sea. A new world opens for Rebeca.

Maju de Paiva directed the shorts Pequenos Animais Sem Dono (2016) and Cravo, Lírio e Rosa (2018). Bernardo Florim is screenwriter of Missão 115 (It's All True 2018), Euclydes (Mostra de São Paulo 2023) and Nelson Pereira dos Santos – A Life in Cinema (Cannes 2023). Seaside Avenue won awards for Best Screenplay in FRAPA and Best Direction at Guadalajara.
