​Sofia is a teacher and she leads a calm life with her husband in the small town of Las Ventanas in Chile. When she reads that a new-born child was found dead in a rubbish bin, she is hit by a wave of emotions. Obsessed with the story of the child the police are unable to identify, Sofia begins a legal and ethical quest to give the child a dignified burial. But bureaucratic problems complicate things for Sofia, who, out of anger and determination, ends up baptising the small child Aurora. Based on a true story.​

Rodrigo Sepúlveda

Rodrigo Sepúlveda

​Born in Santiago in 1973, he studied journalism at Andrés Bello University. He directed documentaries and series for Chilean television. The first feature he directed was A Thief and His Wife (2002). His next film, Padre nuestro (2005), was shown at the Festival de Viña del Mar and won an award at the Cartagena Festival. This is his third feature film.​
