Martin and Hazel, two fundamentalist missionaries from a small town, are sent to a South American jungle to convert the local natives.
Hector Babenco
Director, writer and producer, he was born in Argentina and became a Brazilian citizen. He started his career in 1973 and directed many successful and critically acclaimed films, such as Pixote, Carandiru, and Kiss of the Spider Woman, for which he was nominated for a Best Director's Oscar in 1986.
