During the Second World War, Brazil sent 168 paintings, donated by 70 modern artists, by ship, to be exhibited and auctioned in some of the most consecrated art institutions of the UK. A fascinating episode of cultural diplomacy which reveals a vision of modernism in Brazilian arts. The film seeks to investigate the intricacies of this story, in the search for new significance for Brazilian modern art of that period.
